Default critique these cam specs for a 4,400lb truck

219/227 .607/.614 112

LS1 Dodge Ram with 3.90 gear 30in tire, 1998 LS1 with ls6 manifold and longtubes

looking for a cam that will give more low end tq and hopefully more peak power as well.

I have a Yank sstb 9.5in 3600 stall (awesome BTW) I can mill the heads if I have to...so what might be best for pump 93 11:1?

I think it will work good, I have a 218/224 in my crew cab and a 3000 converter. Your truck is lighter with a bigger engine and more stall.

I'm not sure why on the split...someone offered it to me and I have never played around with cams in a truck before...maybe for nitrous? If so perfect I have a HSW plate setup on it anyway

well if you ever decide to use a different cam hit me up. I could have a use for it lol
But it would work well in a LS1

What heads, 241s? I bet it'll make it's power around 5400 RPM, so I wouldn't expect much low rpm torque (relatively), but with 3.90 gear, 30" tire and 3600 stall speed I think it'll get to the power pretty well.

+1

I have a 219/222 .607/.602 111+4 its a torquy cam on my 6.0
it was a custom for a 5.3 future stall. but with the new motor i dont think it needs a stall it burns tires from a stop and lunches in 4wd alot better than my 5.3

5.3 has a 9.9:1 and 6.0 has a 9.7:1 CR so youll have better results with 10.5 CR +5.7 + light truck

mine sets at ~ 5600+

5.3+cam on a dyno jet it did 365 whp 369wtq with 91 gas I hope it gets me to 400+ with the 6.0
