Default critique my combo please.

Heres the combo and then the car the combo will go in......

2K5 LQ4, ARP rod bolts
799 heads cut down to 61.5cc
Texas speed Tsunami cam: 235/240, .654"/.609" 114 LCA
PRC extreme springs
LS1(corvette) intake, ported
1 7/8 LT's with cut outs
42lb/hr injectors
Pullied
85mm TB
Yank SS4000
No cats, no EGR, no AIR

The car: C4 corvette, race weight 2980 lbs.

I'm thinking my compression should be between 10.5 and 11.0:1 with power around 490-510 FWHP, maybe a little more if I tune for E85 only. whats your thoughts on this combo?

I have to finish the motor for the vette before i can start on the 85 C10 that's waiting for surgery.

Intake might still be a slight restriction (imo). What headers and transmission are you going to use?

My opinion too. Seen a lot of reports of it bottlenecking on LSx engines. If you don't already have it an LS6 intake and 90mm tb would be my suggestions.

Your immediately leaving 20-30rwhp on the table by not running a FAST intake.

Since you talk about "Race weight" I'm assuming its has to be at least a street/strip car. That cam specs are definitely in the ballpark of a fairly light car.

That cam has an LSK intake lobe, take time to setup your valvetrain well. Hardened pushrods are a MUST. I run Comps thick wall (.105") pushrods myself. Anything you can do to stiffen up the backside of the rocker and lighten the valve side of the rocker is a good thing. If you don't have the cam yet I think you would be better off with one of Comps LSR cams. The new LSL lobe is still very aggressive, yet easier on valvetrain parts than LSK lobes.

The LSR cam that's fairly close is 235/243 .621/.624 113. Its the 2nd cam on this page.... http://compcams.com/Technical/Catalo.../pdf/page6.pdf
Your heads wont flow at .650 lift anyways.

Headers are 1 7/8. Custom built LT's for the swap. I would love nothing more than a FAST setup and some AFR's.

The car is being built as an all around killer. She will be at the drag strip, maxton mile and next spring she will run the Silver state classic. Race weight is what she weighs now. I could probably shed a 100 lbs off her if I had to but her weight is WITH driver and fuel.

I'm learning from this build and applying the knowledge to the C10 build coming after this one.

I forgot the trans is 4l60e. Rear gears are 2.59:1. Corvette's have loooooong legs. Right now my 60fts are steady 1.9 on streets trapping 14.xx in 3rd. I max out at only 175 on the run it just takes a little bit.
