on my next truck i'm going to get 4.10s, Im planning on putting a little bit oversized tires on it and having the 4.10 ratio will make the mileage more comparable to 3.73s and stock tire height

It is totally dependent on what he wants to do with the truck.....I hear over and over " if you want gas mileage don't buy a truck" however, for me, I need a truck to tow my boat for hunting/fishing and to haul the dog for Waterfowl hunting. I drive 42 miles one way to work and don't want to buy a "beater" for the sole purpose of gas mileage. I get 19.88 mpg before adding exhaust with 3.42's 4x4 CC and now it looks like closer to 21 MPG. So I think it works great for both worlds for me.
