Crank bolt coming loose
#12
Put the truck on a lift, setup the Tq wrench and then do a chin up from the wrench. If I need help I get another guy to hang from legs. I have never actually gotten to 250 ft/lbs. Maybe with a 4' wrench you could pull it off. A cheater bar actually decreases the accuracy of the Tq wrench so its not recommended.

I'll do it tomorrow see if I don't **** myself.
I think it should be ok, since the previous
times I wasn't using a torque wrench since
everybody says they can't always take it to
250lbs. I'll try first with the old bolt like
u guys said to seat the pulley in place, then
the new one. I think I got it now, right?

The actual tq sequence with a new bolt are as follows:
-install pulley completely with old bolt.
-tq new bolt to 37 ftlbs then rotate 140*
I have heard of the 250ftlb method working. Also some people just put some locktite on it and give it all they got. People that use this method don't bother with a new bolt. The second time I did it I forgot to get a new bolt so i just torqued it to 250 ftlbs and it backed off a week later. I was running a Radix with 12lbs of boost and no pin on the crank at the time either.
