the truck is sitting on the lawn of my house in laguna beach calif. i can have flatbed take up to 200 miles free with my AAA premium card.Who knows from or experience where or whom I should have the truck taken too? I want the engine repaired so that whatever happened does not happen because of the same wink link or miscalibration of the whipple fuel or boost system, both need to be addressed.I am open to suggestions. I even thinking of ditching the whipple I just put on and going back to natuarally aspirated, seems to be less worries. A built 6.0 that I could pass as a carb e.o. modified 5.3 has great appeal. as does a radix later.

You may have just lost the crank pulley bolt and the ping you heard might have been the crank bolt.If that's the case and there's not much damage to the crank snout. You'll need to call(Brian)Blownchevy and have him order a crank pinning kit from Magnacharger to install a new crank pulley with.I think that's more likely what happened than a cracked crank.

This is exactly what I was thinking. So you did take out all of the HPP3 tune correct?
You would easily ping running that HPP3 tune and the Whipple. Your engine will rattle pretty badly if that balancer is not on correctly, eventually leading to a burned crank bearing and possible crankshaft damage.
First I would just visually look to see if the balancer walked off the crank a bit. You would be able to see a shinny gap where the balancer used to rub on the crank seal if it has walked off the crank any. If that turns out to be the case, you might just reinstall the balancer and start it up and see if things still shake badly. If there is still a really loud ticking noise I would bet you cracked a piston from detonation. (my money is on #7 )

It is very difficult to break a bottom end on a genIII engine.
Good Luck,
Ryan

Ryan Your Intercooler Rocks.looks Super Clean.should Make Awesome Power. Thanks For Your Advice. Monday I Will Drop The Skid Plate So I Can Get A Closer Look. I Did Notice When I Looked At It Before Some Fresh Metal Races Just Behind The Crank Pulley. Could That Be A Indication Of Pulley Walking Forward?

I really doubt you have cracked the crank? The rods would fail before that happened. Just remember if you step up the cubes, your bosst will likely decrease due to more flow.
