Default Corsa for 408?

I recently put a TSP 408 in my truck and I love the power but the exhaust is just too loud and I am looking for a change. Currently have dual 3 in. pipes coming off pacesetter LT's into a two in one out magnaflow dumped. I know part of the problem is that now its resonating off the underside of the bed but I want to eliminate the drone and I am willing to pay for the Corsa to get that.

I am thinking a Corsa touring, but since the truck is a 99 there is no kit. What are yall's thoughts on this setup and which system I could get to make this work with my existing dual 3 in. pipes? Truck is ECSB. Dont really want to do ORY and high flow cats, would like to try and make it work with what I have, just cut off the magnaflow and make a Corsa fit. Thanks.

Me and you are in the same boat. I was going to try and fit some 18" resonators before my mangaflow to quiet it down some but I don't know how much of a difference it will make.

I don't know of any corsa exhaust that hav a dual in so no matter what there is gonna have to be a y somewhere. Why not run 2 big magnaflows instead of one with resonators before each. Not completely sure but would imagine it would quiet it down. No matter what tho if you have it dumped anywhere near the cab it's gonna resonate pretty bad. Ever thought of also doing a small tail pipe over the rear axle and dumped towards the back of the truck?

TxSilverado said it best. For no drone theres 2 choices stock or corsa. Im very pleased with my corsa touring. Arh 1 7/8 to 3" catted Y above it. Very tame at idle and cruising, but downright wicked at WOT. Plus, the dual tips look great

This is exactly what I'm looking for, but to do it I guess I am going to have to get a Y-Pipe with cats and then also buy the exhaust. I think if I go this route then I need to buy hi-flow cats and just have a muffler shop build me a Y-pipe, no point in buying a Pacesetter Y-Pipe which will most likely not fit under the 4L80 without mods anyway. I guess any Touring System for a 2006 and older will work as long as I get it in the ECSB length. Haven't had much luck on finding used Corsa mufflers and tips so I may just have to bite the bullett and buy a system.

A buddy of mine just got a new used 2011 tahoe with about 20k on it. The previous owner had put a Corsa system on it and it really is the real deal, I was very impressed.

Yeah I agree this time it will have a side exit, not dumped, I know thats a big part of the problem. But I also want no drone and from all the stuff I have read around here it seems I have a better shot at no drone with Corsa than Magnaflow.

My corsa DB muffler has no drone on the interstate even though it's a fairly loud exhaust. The corsa guys have their shiat together!

I have the corsa db also, it has no drone and is quiet in the cab. It gets pretty loud outside of the cab though if you floor it.

For a 408 I might want more than a single 3" exhaust. I think you migh tbe better off with a big *** magnaflow 3.5" muffler with resonators.

I did a couple of resonators in front of dual Magnaflow 3" mufflers. The resonators helped a little, but still too damn loud for me. It did still have some annoying drone too. I have a couple of Corsa Touring mufflers that I was going to use on a dual setup. Not enough room under my truck for two so I went with stock type mufflers with cutouts. I probably need to get rid of the Corsas. Send me a PM if anyone's interested in one or both. Mufflers only.
