Question Copper Spray GM MLS Head Gaskets?

Hey guys, I am re-installing my driver side head tomorrow on my 5.3 (broken exhaust stud removed). I have both the head and block prepped and ready to go, but wondered if I should copper spray coat the stock type GM MLS head gasket before installing them?

I've always done this in the past with Gen I SBC and Mark IV BBC's when using steel shim head gaskets, but the LSx is a whole new animal to me.

Thanks guys!!

I did not spray my stock GM gaskets and had no problems. If you were using Cometics then I would spary them even though it says not to.

I'd spend the 50 bucks and buy a new one.

I sprayed my Cometics on my 427 project and it worked out well. I'm not sure about stock gaskets though.

I didn't spray mine, no leaks. If your surfaces are good you should be fine either way, if they are less than good maybe try the spray?
