Default Considering a DiaboloSport Predator? Read this first!!

It's purchase for life! Literally......since it marries itself permanently to the one particular VIN it is used on first.

I thought that was the case, but officially found out when:
1. I opened my owners manual, and
2. When I emailed them and asked them about reseting it, which brings me back to #1.

But, if there is a bright side to it, you can still use it for a handheld code scanner and live data. At least that's something. But when you sell the truck, either it goes with it or it's trash.

That is another reason why I did not go with Diablo Predator.

I would never buy one of those POS. I feel sorry for all the people on here who have had problems and can't even resell the thing. Then they have to dish out even more to buy a programmer that is reliable. Predator

I'm one of those who fell for it and thankfully ther's people like myself and others who buy **** like this and warn of there experiences.

If we'all got it right the first time there would be no aftermarket selling ridiculous overpriced crap that does nothing but ruin days off and suck your wallet dry.

Any body who reads this site and still goes out and gets it wrong shouldn't be driving. I don't think there's a product out there that hasn't been discussed some time or another.
I realize it's alot of personel preferance but when it come down to performance I think we can all agree on what works.

I have wasted alot of time and money like alot of others for something I could of avoided if I had only new, but now with the last 2 years of forums I thank everyone here that has helped in the past and hope evryone here continues to review there experiences.

And for damn sake kill the redundancy and use the search option.

No, he said "if" there was a bright side, not that there "was". Besides, isn't that the reason we all went and bought A-tap?

First off, I have not had any problems with mine yet. I like it better ....much better than the HPPIII. I just don't like what I hear about the custom tunes and the not being able to resell it. Hey, but you can't sell LS1Edit either, and nobody bitches about that. So I say if you stay with the basic predator, it's a good product. LS1Edit is gonna cost at least $550 plus the price of a laptop and if you don't know what your doing, a new tranny, PCM, and motor. So FWIW, the predator is not a bad product. Anytime you start to change things in the PCM, you run the risk of problems with any programer.
