The tune or tunes are only good as the person installing them. If Westers is so much better then BUY IT! Could get your but kicked by a MTI TUNE so there. Been there done that with the HPPIII, Threw the ******* thing in the trash because NOBODY WANTS ONE. MY POS works great(pred) jus o2.

wheres your numbers slick? Evry one here is using the good ol fashion seat o meter and I'm just trying to state that I have compared the two(hyp vs Pred) back to back numerous occasions at the NHRA track in my area and the hypertech has always won by a long shot. But I do agree the hypertech is in need of a major update.

I tried to love the predator too -but it's pretty sad whem the crappy hypertech showed consistent 4-6/10 improvement from it. I had the guy directly from diablo sport program it, Told him every aspect i had done to my truck wich is nothing too complex,
Why is it that the predator needs so much attention and that I had to do with my hypertech was plug it in.

When I first had my predator it slowed my 1/4 mile time almost 1.5 sec, pulled timming, locked the converter right out of the whole and shifted lower than stock. Diablo excuse was that I needed a custom tune, Thats great. Thanks for letting me Know that adding headers, catback and a built tranny with a stall would cause the predator's factory tune to have to be redone.

Predator= works well for some poor for others
Hypertech= sucks gas but gives ets

creed, My HPPIII was so bad hen installed I had to take the tune out of it just to get it to run correctly. Used the shifting and the speed limiter.Ran to fat on the low end except in the winter. Just got the Pred. and their is a hugh difference in performance accross the board! No numbers yet, still slow. Working on it.
Have not been posting here,just listening to what others have to say. I guess thats why they make some of this crap, we buy it. Could be worst you could drive a Dodge or a Ford.

DON"T get a superchips. Do a search. They are the worst. Mine had a fairly good tune, besides the hgih KR, but crashed my PCM. Many stories of the same have been told, and do not back their stuff up. It is always soemthign you did. F___ superchips

 

guys LS1edit does the same thing. The very first thing you do is let it scan your PCM for a VIN# after that, it is the only PCM you can tune. (unless you have the unlimited version $$$ or you buy another liscense for it -$250)

It is not that big of a deal really, as long as you plan on keeping your truck for a while
