Default Compression test questions/results

What happpens if I forget to pull the fuel relay during a compression test?
Does it affect the numbers?
How long should I wait to start it?
What if I start it too soon? BOOM? Lol...
Destroyed several plug wires trying to get them off
Anyway these were the results, thoughts?

Looks normal to me. Hold the pedal to the floor and try to start it for a few seconds. When the computer senses more than 80% throttle during cranking it will cut the fuel allowing you to clear the cylinders. It might start briefly from residue fuel left in the cylinders, but should die quickly then be fine after that.

Those are all good numbers man. The cylinders shouldn't be flooded and whatever fuel is in there will just burn off when you go to start it.

Why did you have to run a compression test? Was the truck lacking power?

OUT OF CURIOSITY I DECIDED TO TEST THE #2 CYLINDER AGAIN WITH THE TB OPEN. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A LITTLE AIRFLOW MAKES! LOL I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say all cylinders would be near 175 if I had opened the TB...

the proper way to do the test is to have the throttle wide open. 150 psi looked kinda low.

Ya, I think I just forgot Been awhile. I remember my 5.3 being at 180psi when I was checking it, that's why I was a little worried when I saw 150psi yesterday. Opening the TB and doing it again and getting 180psi makes me feel much better lol
