Cold air intake with e-fans
#1
Im doing the efan conversion right now and I noticed that you have a lot more room for your intake now that the fan shroud is gone. Im going to ask my exhaust shop about bending a piece of pipe for me but I was wondering where I could get the silicon connectors? Any other suggestions on where else to get the pipe would be great too

i think your post might be a bit confusing...are you planning to fab up a custom cai when you get your efans on? If so, the cheapest and easiest route would be to go to lowes or home depot and pick up some 3-4" pvc pipe and a few 45* and 90* elbows...they also have the rubber boots so thats covered too. Take some time to fab things up the way you like it and maybe even build a box for the filter as well. Its a pretty easy job, just whatever you do DO NOT use the extra space gained by the efans to put in a filter as close the the throttle body as possible...all youll gain from that is sucking in all the hot air being sucked out of the radiator by your efans. A ''friend'' of mine did that on his SSS and i just laugh every time i look under the hood of his truck.

I plan on keeping the stock air box setup but putting a less restrictive intake in since I have all that room available now. I'd rather use a metal pipe for the tubing. I was just wondering if anybody knew of a place where I can order silicone elbows and connectors like you'd use for intercooler piping. Ill have to check out Lowe's thanks
