Default check engine light

The check engine light went on for the third time, a friend that works on a gm dealer told me that it is because of the cam swap and it's weird idle, and that I'll have to live with it because no matter how many times he erase the code it will come back on.
It doesn't make sense to me since Nelson fixed idle with his tune.

So, is there a way to fix this with LS1edit?
Other options?

Thanks.

"If" it is the random misfire code, yes. Allen can fix that for you with edit.

I don't think your friend is right. The way Allen fixed mine (the misfire tables) it wouldn't have thrown a code unless it had a dead miss, like a plug wire was pulled off or a plug broke or something severe like that. Did he get the code number and definition? Get that and it will be more useful.

Was it blinking or just solid on?

Thanks guys, I don't remember the code number, but I'll sure get it.
The light was steady, no flashing, but I'll check all the plug wires and plugs.

Thanks.

No flashing ... it more than likely wasn't a misfire code then.

It wont be flashing if its the random misfire at idle. It will flash if its a true misfire at higher rpms.

It was probably the PO 300 code. I have that code that I need to get taken care of.
