Default Cheapest 4" stroke crank???

If you have a link for a non-site sponsor, PM me with it. I've found one site that has a Scat "style" crank for $699 and was wondering what anyone else has seen or paid. That's the cheapest non-forged crank I've seen for these engines... sucks compared to the budget $189 knife edged 383 crank I built a couple of years ago... I knew it would be more expensive, but dang!!!

What do you mean by Scat "style"? Is it a Scat crank or not? I think Eagle's are cheaper than the Scats. Also are you saying that this is a 4" stroke crank that is cast NOT forged?!?

My forged eagle was 745 shipped off ebay. You can get clsoe to same price any day on ebay.

It's nodular iron, not forged. Not sure what they mean by Scat "style". Here's the description:

No way in hell I would pay that much and not have a forged crank, you can get and Eagle FORGED crank for 100 bucks more.

I understand totally. With their price being about 50 bucks lower than what I've found a forged one for, I won't be going cast. Thought I could at least find a cast one for around 3 hundred or so (at least half the price of forged), but no dice.

yea, I had considered that route too, a non-forged.. Seeing as how I wont be making enough to break one, but theres no low-cost cranks out there for our motors really.
