The headers will bolt up to the heads but thier routing prohibits them from clearing the trucks frame rails.

camAro. After 35 years you would think people would know there was no E in the word.

Like they said....the headers are not long enough to get under the the truck. Guess if it was cheap enough and you felt like being creative you could always cut and weld.

So they will work, they are just not long enough to fit under the truck, so you can just have your exhuast extended to reach them? Just to make sure, they will bolt right up to the exhaust manifold and all you need to do is extend your exhaust to make them connect, right? What about the hose that connects to the header on the left exhause manifold, does the camaro longtubes come with that? Sorry for all the questions, I'm interested in doing this now.

They will bolt up to the head. The heads have the same holes as the ls1 camAros.

Um.... longtubes for the F-Body cars do not all come with a Y-Pipe. Some of them do, some offer it as an option. FLP and SLP I believe come with a Y Pipe in the kit. Almost all of the manufactors of headers have their own brand of Y pipe.

Its not worth the effort to try the headers, as (from what was stated above) they dont clear the frame rails, nore go down far enough, (guessing this means the primarys aren't long enough and at the right angle to get the collector where our exhaust has a possiblity to mount up.

If you want headers with that companies brand of Y Pipe, check out TByrne.com I believe he has a couple brands of the complete set, including cats. I think there are 2 if not more, brands that offer a kit with their LTs.

Personaly I'd just go with ASM or TOG (although I rarely see anyone use them.... I think Tom (TByrne) uses them on his rides....) and just have a exhaust shop make a nice Y pipe, or run some duals with an X Pipe...

When I meant cutting and welding...I meant cutting and welding. As in the primaries. Not only that I think there is some issues with the steering shaft.

Personally unless someone gave you the headers its more work than its worth

Shorty's don't do much for these trucks. If you look at the manifolds, they almost look like cheap shorty's to me.

The TOG's are nice, but you should get them coated. I got them coated by someone local for about $100.
