Default cam swap VS. 60' times

i feel like my 60' times could be better...is a cam guna make my 60' better or worse? i always hear about the loss of bottom end, but the best 60' times i see are with cammed setups. also what is an average gain to be expected from a cam? 3/10's maybe?

I believe the reason you always see better 60' times with bigger cams is because they have a stall to match it so it will launch it at the rpms where it makes the power.

All depends on the setup. Get a stall that flashes where the cam really starts pulling, I.E bluecajun a 3200-3400 that 220/220 is really pulling then. Now if he had like a majic stick or something it.
i tink you have 3200 bu i never saw ur cam specs?

Yes that's also probably why your 3200 didn't net you any better 60' than your 2600. With your stock cam you were probably making close to the same power at 3200 as you were at 2600.

The definition of how to 60' is Torque from Flash RPM - Peak Torque (4800)

For some reason it seems the guys with the Fuddles 60 higher then other manufacturers with the same speed stall and when you add more power they really start flashing high. Tak AP for example, behind his 5.3 it flashed to 3200-3400 now with the LQ9 its flashing to 4K, maybe you will get lucky if you can hook and it will flash a bit higher with added power of that cam and get you on out of the hole faster. I would bet itll 60 in the high 1.7 range if you can get it to dead hook.

i was hoping for high 1.7 60' times with the stock cam but it didnt happen. if it did im sure i would have a 12.99 pass under my belt. i did tell fuddle it was for a ls1 instead of a 5.3 too so i dont think it will flash to 4k. 3500 would make me happy

I bet you will get those times. I think your set up is solid, and should work well together.
