which one to get ? TR220(or compcam equivilant) or TR224(or compcam equivilant)?

Don't know how mild I want to go...

please post any opinions

Can't really vote because we don't know what you want out of the truck. Plus you didn't detail which LSA you'd be using.

If you don't care about anything but lots of power and plan on at leasta 3000 stall then I say TR224. One of the best all around cams for LS1s made to date IMO. Even people who now run TRex cams still agree for a daily driver and awesome power it is a tough cam to beat. Should be in the Cam Hall of Fame IMO LOL

I'd say go with the 224. I went 212/218 and could have gone more agressive. Like F8LPONY stated, go with a 3k or + stall if you go the 224 route.

I think the 224 might be too much for a 5.3....I voted 220.

If you want to go extreme, I say go for the 224 but get a little advance ground in to move the power band down a little bit.
btw.. dont know if you have one already, but you are definately going to need a converter with either one of those.

I plan to get a stall around 3000, I want some power, but I dont want to lose driveability as I have to drive this shitbox daily

how much of a difference will the lsa make? they're 112 and 114

im in the same boat, im going with a vig 3200, 3.74 gears, TR224, 5.3 heads, and my LS1 is going into a 96 2 door Blazer
