if you are getting a cam that the power band is up high and you want it to come down in rpm then get the advance ground into the cam.
simpler---the cam is rated at2800 to 6500----get 2* ground into it and it will be like -----2300 to 6200. just an example.

i understand that, but i dunno what you mean by 'get 2* ground into it'

Say your LSA (lobe seperation angle) is 114... your ICL (intake center line) is 110, you have four degrees of advance ground into your cam, i.e. the intake lobes are advanced four degrees from the the installed centerline. You can also advance a cam by using an adjustable timeing chain.
Here is a good cam write-up onthe other board: http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread...threadid=19218

SportSide... I am hoping it will ship out today and I can install it this weekend. You can be sure I will post results when I am done.

LSA's...

TR220 112 is supposed to idle like a TR224 114.

TR220 114 - noticeable lope - easily tuned out with higher idle rpm's and what-not.

TR224 112 - Enough lope to give a deaf man wood.

As I understand it, these pre-made TR cams have 4* advance ground in. You'll want that, especially in a truck application. It moves the power lower in the rpm's. (It's stillg going to be WAY up there over stock)
