Ok guys, i like it here alot better than over there at Tech..
I wanna see what kindof advice yall have.
Here it is.
99 Trans Am 142k miles (busted 60E haha)
Stock intake manifold and heads, 2.73s
Everybody keeps saying go with the TR224
But also read about the tr230 (split and reverse pattern)
Then someone had mentioned the texas speed 231/237
What you guys think
Car has longtubes and p/p tb and Yank SS3600 and Tuned by me.
If he did go with any one of these cams can he go with heads and better intake later? or is he goin to be looking for a bigger cam?
Say texas speed 5.3 heads and fast 90?
He ran a 13.6 in the 1/4 bone stock.
The other night he ran with me at the local short track. (500' remember?)
He went a 6.9@76 with a 1.9 60' on 255/50r16 BFG street tires, Yank SS3600, LTs, ORY, No mufflers, and a quick tune.

If the cars a toy and not a dd then why not go MS3? Ms3 cam only with a FAST 90/90, could always add some PRC 5.3 heads later on. Proven combo. I also like the TSP 233/239 cam as well. Both will see big gains over the 224.

That will help, should also look at a adjustable torque arm, rear control arm and if he dosen't allready have em some subframe connectors. A friend of mine had a 02 ss and it went 13.11 at 108 with less than 1000 miles on it with me driving totally stock! He then proceeded to do cam/fast intake/tb/n20 etc.. and suspension mods including a 9in rear when he grenaded the stock one but he never put stick tires on it. Sold it and the guy who bought it did and went 10.50. It was a 6spd also.
