Default California loud exhaust law

As many might know by now, California passed a new law 1/1/2019 stating that if caught having a “loud” exhaust it will no longer be a fix it ticket, but now a $1,000 fine and a trip to the state ref.
i need some help figuring out how to quiet my exhaust. Currently my setup is long tube headers, no cats xpipe and two slp loudmouth exhaust and it exits right under my bumper. If I get caught and sent to state ref I’m screwed because of my cam 228/232. I’ll never pass inspection, what are your guys thoughts on how to quite this beast down, any help is appreciated

that’s what the bill say, but I knw there going to pull anyone over. I guess the part I’m more worried about is getting sent to the state ref

I’m going to go with the stock mufflers back on see how much it’s quiets it down. It’s gettimg tougher and tougher to stay in California

Every full size truck on this site is over 6000 gvwr. Remember, not curb weight.

He may be within the law with a gross weight over 6000 pounds, but I suspect a police man may see a slammed hot rod truck and treat it the same as a Mustang. I would muffler up and avoid it entirely.

If you’re visiting family from out of state, can they still nail you for the same thing?
