So i have been researching and thinking about what i am going to do. Going to get everything to look stock. With catalytic converters at 200 bucks a pop, i found this.... http://www.car-sound.com/02product/d...irectfit=43419

it is a direct fit kit.... from stock manifold to after the y-pipe. i found it for probably around 500 with shipping and i figure that 400 for cats plus having a shop put it in or 500 for a whole kit and i put it in myself, good idea? i thought so

when i went to see if if my truck and all that..... they arent listed for 2002 trucks

i emailed magnaflow asking whats up with that and they said they dont have CARB certified system for that year.... what gives?

question:
do you california guys think that if i put the kit i listed on the truck, will the inspection people ask for a CARB number even if it looks like it was factory??

When looking at my setup you can definitely tell it is aftermarket and only my headers have an EO number on them and you have to really look for them. I dont think they have ever even looked for the EO or worried about it. They probably just saw I had cats and cared that it passed.

you can buy a carb legal set up from a few places that include new cats or you can buy a used Y pipe with cats, and add a 3inch muffler to the back end and your legal again
