Well, I got my Flexalite 282 fans installed and found an ignition source for the fan controller but, couldn't figure out which wire under the fuse block was for the A/C.
Here is a pic of the underside of the fuse block. Could somebody point out the wire? I know it's green but, none of the green wires I probed with the A/C button on showed anything. I'd like to splice it under the fuse block since it's so easy to get to and is somewhat protected from the weather.
Here is a pic of the wire I used for the ignition "ON" relay wire. The wire is brown.

Yeah, that's what I'll probably end up doing but, if anyone knows what wire it is under the fuse block it would be nice to know.
I just didn't feel like crawling under the truck when there was some spilled trans and rad fluid on the floor.
I'm going to wire up a override switch also when I get around to it.
Thanks

On the Flexalite controller terminal 6 is a "Full On" terminal. You just connect this terminal to a ground with a switch inline. When you flip the switch that terminal gets grounded and the fans come on 100% no matter what the coolant temp. is.
If you want to wire a "Off" switch you can do the same thing to terminal 5. This is for off roaders for water crossings so the fans don't get messed up or kick up a bunch of spray while submerged.
The negative battery post is probably the best place to hook a ground to. There's probably a bunch of ground wires in the truck you could use also instead of running a wire into the cab and then back out.
If you wired up a single pole double throw switch with a center off position you could have one switch for both of these functions.

John, I think I have a pic somewhere pointing out which wire to use. I could also pop open my fuse block to see which one I tapped into. I'll try to find that pic. Let me know if you need me to open up my fuse block unless someone else beats me to it.

Jeff - That would be great if you could dig up that pic. I think the reason I couldn't find it might have been because the key was only turned to "ON" when I was probing wires. Maybe the clutch doesn't get power unless the truck is actually running?? The A/C button was on though.
Did you ever get your fans working properly?

John,
Yeah I think I got everything working properly. Haven't really had a chance to check the A/C operation yet but the fans cycle on and off like they are supposed to. I found that pic, I'm pretty sure what I have labeled in the pic is how I currently have it wired now. My truck wont be back until tomorrow night when we put the tranny back in. I'll send that pic to your e-mail.

Could you send me that picture also. I tapped into the green wire on my compressor and the fans come on anytime the blower motor is on, whether or not the AC light is on or not. I am hoping it is just the wrong wire, but I am scared the compressor is on all the time which would mean I will need to take it to the dealer again .....
