Default Build a 5.3

I know I’m crazy because I just bought 1 Silverado. But I got a deal on another 99 Silverado with a 5.3 in it. I want to build this beast. Cold air intake. Tune. Magnaflow exhaust. Tune. Long tube headers. Cam. I want to do as much as possible without adding a bottle or boost. Planned on upgrading the throttlebody, valve springs, push rods, forged pistons, electric fans, bigger radiator, and the thermostat. For the things I’m planning are there any other parts I should upgrade on it while I’m here?

I don’t have my mind made up yet. Im looking at all these cams. Thinking like a 220/224 with a 2800 torque converter. Although I won’t be daily driving this, I want to build it to where I can if I want to. I want it to shift well and sound good I don’t care about how loud it is but I want a deep aggressive tone.

If your not Putting forced induction or nitrous on it, there is no need for forged pistons.

Not saying this is the end all combination... but a good friend mine recently did 415 rw with his 5.3L. It is a daily driver, still streetable.

Flat top piston 5.3, PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads, 224/232 cam, Speed Engineering 1.75" LTs & ORY, 3" cat back, Airraid MIT. Everything else is stock 2013 Silverado. Has a 3200 stall, 4.10 gears, and 20" wheels. Just installed an electric cut out, haven't been on the dyno since. Going to step up to a 3500-3600 stall next. It's not bad with the current 3200, just will be better with a little more. This set up didn't cost a fortune, and runs damn good.
