It is a PITA for sure. Do like Thunder said, don't use the hack saw you will just poke the **** out of your fingers when attempting the assembly and be even more frustrated.
Use a dremel tool with a cut-off wheel after wraping the ends tightly in some kind of tape. I ended up using clear scotch taps and trimmed all but about
1/8" of it off and threaded it into the couplers. If you do leave a small amount of tape on make sure its no more than 1.5 wraps of the braided line.
After you do a couple ends it becomes easy. Good luck.

Looks like I might be saying to hell with the braided line, the line just laughed at the new 36 teeth per inch hacksaw blade as it frayed even with the tape and I have enough holes in my fingertips to look like im diabetic and im not going to drop a hundred plus dollars on a special tool to cut this with. I will still use some of my bends and adapters with some rubber hose and since I have no room like the ecsb guys do inside the frame rail, Im going to mount this PITA on the lip of the frame like in the magna charger illustration.
