bought the mufflers ,what exhaust tip should i buy,what size of pipes should i go?

Question bought the mufflers ,what exhaust tip should i buy,what size of pipes should i go?

i got these a month ago and ill be doing a custom exhaust



and my setup is gonna be dual 2.5 pipes splting from a Y pipe out of this (should be like X pipe)

i know dual 2.5 is big for a 5.3 but in planning ahead for eather a cam swap or a 6.0 who knows:dunno:

i would go with 2" ... but if u have plans then oh well.. anyways i would dump them before the rear axel i would go with number 6 :thumbsup:

if i did it again id go with the number 3 tips. angled down like blackgmcs. I couldnt find the finished pic but you get the idea.

I would go all the way with 6. It will look so aggressive with a red truck.

You'll be fine with the 2.5, especially if you plan on modding the engine, or doing a 6.0 swap. Yea, 2.5 is overkill for a stock 5.3 (I think that 2 1/4 would be optimal), but should be perfect for a NA 6.0...this is what I plan to run (6.0 swap in future), although I have 14" long 4" round Magnaflows, which I'm starting to think may be too loud...

Billy maybe a set up like mine could help, esp with the DMH Cut out. I know it can handle the 6.0 swap.

Dump under the bed and forget the tip, one less on the list to clean.

Hey Sand man! What exhaust setup did you chose? Do you have pics of it? interested to see it... I'm planning to change my exhaust system and I needed ideas on what's the best to have.
