Wassup yall....... Hey I just swaped my exaust with one of my friends to see what it would sound like, I had flowmaster 40 series true duals, with no cats, and ASM L/T that setup sounded really nice with a great tone, but I figured I try my friends magnaflows that came off his lightning. It sounds terrible with the Mag's great tone at idle, but it pops like a ***** when you give it gas, the mufflers are shaped like glasspacks and they sound like it. Before I go back with my Flowmaster's, I wanted to get some input on Borla'si want to go with 2 1 in 1out Borla mufflers. How do they sound, were can you get them for best price. I really like to get a set of BORLA'S like some Input thanks

 

the magnaflows that everyone raves about dont look or sound like glasspacks, they are oval and big. like 5x11x22 big. but borlas are good too. they look like magnaflows on the inside. both are straight through design. make sure you get the biggest ones whatever brand you go unless you want loud.

Overall, I am happy. Lost a tad of low end but gained a lot everywhere else. Had a little resonance in the Tahoe but a little soundproofing took care of that. I'm sure the resonance was due to the BOX that my Tahoe is...don't think a pickup would get the same resonance. Stays reasonably quiet if I want but really snorts when I get on it. I've got over 110K on it and 4 years and it is still holding up very well to Chicago winters and salt.

 

Yeah I'm not saying mags are sorry or anything. I'm just running the ones that are in the lightning/cobra kits they are small round shaped mufflers like glasspacks. My buddy had them on his 5.3 Z-71 with manifolds and cats, and big round tips and sounded great. I know i'm not running the right setup my other friend has a Mag muffler 1 in 2 out and it has a good tone. Borla or Mags are about the same I was thinkin about getting a Jeg's catalog see about what I need to order. I want to run true duals with two mufflers. I just need some that are the bigger ones . But Borla just something I wanted to try. Just like to see what I need to go with and how yall think they sound. Keep me posted with some replies cause I'm going to do the switch soon cause my truck sounds so shitty I want even drive it. If it would keep the tone it has a idle I would be in love its really deep. Keep replies coming Thanks
