i got the whipple, for all around driving, towing, racing, just making your truck feel better i think the whipple is the way to go. if your interested in only 1/4mile performance then there is the ATI procharger and it has an intercooler, it might be better for racing only but im not even sure of that. It doesn't give you any extra power below 3000rpm so for towing and daily driving it doesn't do much.
for about the same amount of money you can go heads and cam along with some NOS, if i were to do it again i think i would do that. the blower isn't very consistant, temperature is a big factor in how much power you are going to make and if you don't have at least 92octane gas around you can forget about the whipple.

I agree with parish, I have a Magnacharger, which i love, but If I were to do it all agian, id build 6.0 with caddy heads and N20. the s/c is inconsistant. I pulled a 13.3@ 103.3 with my 01 5.3scsb, but if it wasnt for a cold day and slicks, id have run a low 14. N2o is cheaper, and you can squeeze some power out of it. The bottom line is that the weight of the trucks starts aroud 4600lbs, and there not made to race. If you looking for ***** out power get a vette juice it stroke it and blow it
