Yeah that's even better than the rubber. By the way Big Tex your setup looks sweet.

Would it be a problem to use that to make the intake piping for after my blower as well? Would I be able to use a MIG welder on that kind of steel?
BTW, your intake system does look great. What kind of paint did you use? Any special prep? Would the paint adhere to the piping post blower as that can get pretty warm?

Good deal! I'm going to hopefully come up with something this weekend like that. I really like the way that setup looks. I'm currently using the airaid MIT tube, and basically, it just seems to get "too" thin in places. I'm really wanting to open that intake up as much as I can. Thanks again.

I sanded it down by hand then painted it with rattle can high heat gloss black. It looked really good for a long time until I set a rag on it that was covered in solvent. I had to strip it and redo the paint again.

Mig welding would work great. Best idea would be match and weld it up just like you want, then grind down all the welds to its a smooth finish. Then have it powder coated, ceramic coated, or even chromed.

Thanks for the info, Kenny. I really liked the way your setup looked, so I'm going to get some parts heading my way.
