I just did my 6.2 swap on my sierra I have kooks long tube,410 gears,intake,tune.Now I want to cam it..what would be the best mild cam for this l92 and what other modifications would I need

 

A list of goals would be nice to have to determine a cam.

Converter choice?

What truck is it in? (rcsb, ecsb, ccsb)

Want it to be a dig racer or a roll racer?

 

Its an rcsb..I would like it to be a dig or low roll truck..don't want a extremely loud cam..do I have to change converter?

 

any truck with a converter will be way happier. even a 3000 stall helps get the turd moving better even with a stock cam.

you need to look into a vinci trucker square port cam. it's pretty tame, and runs well with stock converter, tall gears, and stock manifolds.

you will need cam, vvt delete kit, springs, pushrods, tune

 

id keep the vvt, but thats just me

 

better yet....we need to know if it is a GMT-900 truck or a GMT-800 truck

you would have to swap to a vvt harness to run vvt

 

Is there much difference running a vvt cam to a non vvt cam

 

a much broader power band.
