best headers for 5.3?
#1
I have a 01 gmc 5.3 with intake, superchip programmer, 2.5 inch dual exhaust with no cats and flowmasters. I am going to put headers on and want to change mufflers also. Which header and muffler set up should I use with 2.5 inch pipes and no cats.

pacesetters are nice bang for the buck headers...
thorleys, togs, ASM's and stainless works all work on these trucks also but those are 400-800bucks a pop...
im not sure how long pacesetters last either with their good looks. I know the ones on the cars suk after a year or 2 since their finish wears off big time
i bought my asm's used and they still look new

Don't forget Dynatechs. I just put a complete system, including hi-flow cats and X-pipe, on my Corvette. The whole set cost $1195 delivered to my door. It's a great looking product and the fit is top-notch.
I've had the titanium-ceramic coated TOG's on my Avalanche for three years now and they still look like they did when I put them on. They are pricey if you buy them new but I watched the Forums for a while and bought mine used (returned to the original purchaser from TOG after he sent them back for coating) for $500.
