I want to know what is the cheapest way to add horsepower.
No nitrous
no Custom pcm tuning

What is the best handheld out there how many tenths did you drop with just the programmer.

Why spend $400.00 plus for a handheld when you can get a pretty good tune for $75.00.

To your question,, Intake and Exhaust can be done for less than $150.00. Hooker aerochamber and Homemade CAI of ebay.

Hooker- $59.95 from Summit.
CAI- $49.99 from Ebay.

1fun how does your exhaust sound in the cab with windows closed is there any drone i kno i have asked its because drone kills on the highway. How much of a loss in the 1/4 would i see with e-bay intake aero chamber a 10th or 2. Nothing drastic a custom tune is best but i would like to be able to change things like i could with a handheld.

No drone, and the hooker and volant dropped me 1.8 tenths. That was using a gtech. I am now running the stock air box with an Amsoil filter and it feels the same. No difference with the gtech.

Handheld-400
Custom tune- 75... 157.70 with pcm.

Dont waste your money with a handheld. If I was to choose- Predator

What would be better handheld or shorties, i would say shorties, i know i am doing the muffler and open element next month but for new years what would be best for 400$ nothing that will void the warranty.

I have a super chip, and I know you can save a lot with a mail order tune, but I have heard some horror stories, like one recently that cooked 2 trannys, the extra 275 for my handheld was well worth the security and I can go back to stock for warrenty stuff. Im pleased with it.
