If I remember correctly, I think it was on sale at the time for around $350ish? I think it usually goes for $429. There's a link to Vinci's website to the right, I ordered it directly from them...great folks to deal with too.

So the best cheap mod is Intake and exhaust, has any 1 tryed the cone filter in front of the tb with the MAF, i wonder if it woud be better there or with the stock tube.

I haven't seen that set-up too often...seems like it would be kinda tough with fan clearance. Might be possible if you went with e-fans. You can really stay on budget with both the CAI and exhaust with a little creativity. Do a search for "homemade CAI" and you'll find a bunch of different set-ups that guys have made with parts from Home Depot and other supply stores that actually look pretty nice. Alot of guys have found filters and heat shields on Ebay for around $40 I believe too.

For exhaust, you could get gains just by replacing the muffler and retaining the stock pipes. The stock pipes are decent and they're stainless. You could get a Maganflow, Borla, Hooker, etc, and have it welded in place of the factory muff. You could even go with a shorter muffler for more sound (if you want it louder) and lose the tail pipe in lieu of a turn down.

Best bang for the buck was a stall converter.

I went from 13.8 to a 13.2 just by installing one.

so making a turn down will be a bit louder is that right, what about if i keep the stock muffler and put a turn down would that be a bit louder as well. My truck came with factory e-fans

I would think that with the stock muffler and a turn down it would be a little bit louder since the exhaust will be dumped under the bed, but you might notice it more in the cab than anything. It wouldn't seem to be worth it w/o going with a nice free flowing muffler IMO.
