I've never heard of that. I've been to almost every auto store in Austin and they said they don't carry them. Do you order it from them or somehting?

I never knew so many people liked FIPK so much. I bought the volant because it is more of a true cold air kit than the FIPK. My Volant pulls air from the inner fenderwell through a sealed box. The K&N is an open element with a heat shield. The actual filter is great, the kit itself, I'm unsure. A metal heat shield that seals around the hood in my book is not as effective as a sealed box that pulls air right from the fenderwell. Volant also offers an air dam scoop that pulls air from the lower valance. Great way to get cold air into the engine.

I know Volant had a recall on some of the CIA's, but I heard they fixed it. Volant is also the most expensive, probably liek around $300. The new Vararam seems to be a great unit as well with a guarentee of a 1/2 second in zero to 60. A pretty hefty claim. This unit is relativeley new and still need to time to prove its performance. there is also money back guarentee with this unit. I may buy this unit if more people agree that it is superior to the volant or other CAI on the market. The FIPK was one of the first CAI's on the market for our trucks, but I think its oudated now and has been replaced by units with more engineering and testing involved.

well a lot of people were really enjoying the volants and VR but there has been problems and a bunch of bad reviews and such on them so most people have gone with the tried and true

Get your own thread, j/k. I think I like the K&N the best. Volant looks good but it does cost more, that ram dam scoop is cool too.
