Belt question

Default Belt question

I have a K061098 belt (thats 109 inches and 8/10thsfor my truck and whipple, i need a new belt and want to get one of those goodyear gatorbacks, but the only size i can get is a 108 or a 110... would going to the 108 be too small?

It should be fine, you will have to adjust the idler pully on the whipple some.

ranwalk.. what kind of belt do you use? the stock whipple one or? The belts i have seen so far (i haven't seen a gatorback yet) don't have the deep grooves like the whipple belt does, and i would be afraid of slippage??

Move to the 108 and a smaller pulley. That's one way to make it fit.

I'm runing a gatorback. Which Whipple do you have? The one that uses 2 belts or the one that just uses the one belt to run everything? Mine is the one
belt system. I'm runing the smallest pully they offer and have had no belt slippage as of yet.

I have the single belt too... I am going to try to pick up a gatorback tomarrow if i can, trouble is tryin to find someone that sells them around me. do you know what size yours is?
