we are taking a lunch break right now but here are some pics

after lunch we are gonna pull the stock TC, fill up the Yank 3000 and put it in. get some of the wiring harness wired up and set the 5.3 in there so we can get the hoist back this afternoon.
be back later on with new update hopefully!!

ok so here's the update...
WE GOT THE ENGINE IN!! for the most part lol. the engine mounting brackets that i got, only the passenger side one was the right one. the driver side one is NOT the right one... i was pretty pissed.
so, i went down to one dealer and they said it would 1 week to 10 days... so i said...seeya later... went down to the next dealership, he didnt have one but showed that another dealership had TWO of the brackets that i needed.
so i was excited and started to head down there and thought to myself... i better call them and make sure... sure enough they DID NOT have the bracket i needed. so the guy said he would order the bracket and it will be here after 11:30
but the good news is, that we got the engine in and its bolted up to the tranny and just chilling there. gonna get up early in the morning, start on the harness, go pick up the bracket and HOPEFULLY have it all wired up and started up tomorrow afternoon. if not should be done saturday.
but here are just a couple of pics. didnt take much since i was kinda mad about the bracket..

ok guys... IT'S DONE!! after two days of working we got the motor running. the only problem we ran into was that the fuel pressure reg was bad. we turned the key of to check for fuel leaks and sure enough when i did i had a big one at the regulator lol so went and picked up a new one and a belt.
came home and fired the bad boy up and fired up on the first turn!!
and i will say this to anyone that is going to be doing this swap... DO YOUR RESEARCH AND HAVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED BEFORE HAND!! it will make the swap go by alot faster and you will have it done in no time.
i havent gotten to drive it yet. still gotta connect the rest of the exhaust and run the motor for a bit to let the coolant run through.
oh and Matt (xlcooplx) that UPD intake you sold me was a bitch to get on haha but i got it on there and that radiator is in great shape too man. thanks for all the help man!
and thanks to everyone else that has helped me with getting parts for this engine swap (you know who you guys are!)
here are the rest of the pics and a video. i will get a better video tomorrow when i get everything finished up.
oh and btw one of the pics shows my manual fan and no im not using it. its just there for the time being. i still need to wire up the LS1 fans

Damn good job man! you got it done pretty quick considering.. Most of the time when we do something like that were are drunk half way thew the day and dont get much done arter that. Then the help dont show up because of their hangover.
