The edelbrock throttle body is a 1/2 in larger OD than the stocker. And i don't see the newer 87mm throttle body being the same size as the 78mm.

Also i'll be doing this swap this week using the edelbrock cable TB so i'll try to get some pictures up this week

Do you have a bigger cam in your engine or is it stock?

My stock intake tube fit over the NNBS/TBSS TB just fine. The OD's are the same size, but the larger TB's have an upward angel to them. I ordered an Airaid tube for the nnbs to put on my truck. Doesn't quite reach to the stock airbox with the components that come in the box but it was easy to make work with a longer collar to connect the tube to the MAF sensor. Actually I pried the flex piece from the stock tube and used it for the connection. One of these days maybe I'll come up with something smoother.

So UPS just dropped off my throttle body and when I got to put it on, "Damn theres an alternator in my way", I thought the motor on these went off the left side? Do you guys think I'll have issues running it upside down, heres a pic of how the blade will open. I hope it works, if not I'm gonna buy about half a dozen throttle spacers and stack it out past the alt. pulley

EDIT: 30 minutes of sleep in two days, no wonder I can't figure out how this thing goes on.

I'm pretty sure the 90mm car TB has been shown to make less horsepower than the TBSS/truck TB when slapped on the TBSS intake manifold... somebody correct me if I am wrong. If I am not though you may want to offload that car TB and just pickup the truck one.
