watching the dyno graph, i see that at higher rpm (5.2krpm) it tends to fall... would it be better than a ls6 intake or has the same problem as all truck manis just that it flows a little better?

That's from the stock cam. It mirrors the stock intake just 15hp more across the rpm range

im asking ´cause in my setup lq4 with ls9 cam my power band falls just a little higher than stock but i assume is for the truck intake not flowing enough and if it mirrors it as you say it should have the same problem

I have a question. I have a complete tbss mani with rails and sensors. What exactly must I change for it to work on my 06 lq9? if I read right I think I just need to use my oem map instead of the one that's on the tbss, drill a hole in my intake tube for the breather and need the dr x or an adapter for my tb? Is this correct?

oh and guys i hope you all know new body style trucks use this manifold i am just calling it a tbss intake so everyone knows what i am talking about. I got mine from a 08 TAHOE 5.3 paid $80 for it complete minus throttle body
Spot on on your information!

Im doing my swap this weekend. The PCV system was gravy to build, ill snap a shot of mine on Saturday when im done.

Thanks a million for posting some dyno graphs. There seems to be alot of controversy regarding weather this intake makes any difference. Laying it next to a standard NBS intake and 78mm FBW TB there has got to be some improvment. The throttle body provides a much smoother flow into the engine versus the NBS TB. The intake looks alot cleaner inside. I picked up an LS3/7 New takeoff TB from ebay for 130 shipped. The inlet of the NNBS manifold is 89.5 mm. Should be a nice clean swap. As much of a hater as I am to K&N intakes, the 4" slip on intake pipe fits the 90mm TB perfectly. I used a 3/8" hose barb threaded into the intake tube near the throttle body with a 12" peice of good quality hose. Clean factory look. Should be a factory looking install minus the X-Link, which im going to try to get creative with for esthetics purposes.

Nice thread and great info!

Thanks!

You have two choices, modify your current truck fuel rail to fit the TBSS intake (cutoff crossover and weld on AN bungs for a line) and retain your current return fuel system as is, or use TBSS fuel rail with a C5 corvette fuel filter, I believe Wix # 37737.
I've done it both ways, and personally I like the look of the round truck return style fuel rails.
