Default Baer 14" Rotors ?

I installed 20" wheels last week, and decided to order the 14" eradaspeed rotors. Does anyone have these on their truck yet, and what do you think of them?

I was considering some also. Wanted to hear some feedback before I bought a set.

I already have them on my Corvette & Z-28, and I'm very happy with them. I will post as soon as I get them on the Truck. I was hoping that someone else already had them on a truck and could comment.

I have a good friend of mine that has them on an 02' short bed with a 427ci. He loves them!! Says it made a big difference in the way it stops. We at SDPC also just installed a set of 6 piston Alcon calipers with a set of the 15" drilled & sloted rotors on an 04' Suburban. Lets just say you better not have anything loose inside the cab when its time to stop! With 20" wheels you need some kind of upgrade to help get it shut down!!

**Remember we are having a 10% off sale at SDPC for LS1TECH TRUCK members. I can get you a realy good deal on a set of the Baer rotors, just pm or email me!!

do you know if the 16" spare tire fits on with the 14" rotors? I've been leary of installing them because I don't want to be in the sticks with a flat tire, trying to disassemble my brake in order to get a spare on.

Good question. I never thought of that. My luck I'd be in the middle of nowhere with a flat and be SOL.

An 18" wheel is the smallest wheel you can run, and even with that you have to have the correct offset to make it fit.

It all depends on the wheel weight. Rotating mass is the issue, not diameter. There are tons of 20 inchers out there that come in more than a few pounds under the stocker 16 / 17 inch wheels.

Im not trying tp mince words, per se, just a disclaimer for those that might see this and think that wheel diameter is the reason for upgrading the brakes as opposed to weight / rotating mass.

Your right about the wheels being lighter in some cases, but it's the big fat tires that weigh a lot more.
