I am getting ready to purchase AutoTap. I was unsure of which version would be the best for me. What is the difference between the one with Generic parameters and the one with GM and generic parameters? Also, would it be better to get the EFI live version? Can I get it any cheaper by not buying it direct? Thanks!

You want the GM LS1 package with EFILive v.6 (might still be v.5 on the web site)...you will get the Autotap hardware and the EFILive software (NO Autotap Software....it's not needed anyway)
The part number is KAT1EFIPRO ($354.95) for the Pro version with bi-directional controls and KAT1EFISTD ($304.95) for the Standard version without bi-directional (you WANT bi-directional....it's VERY usefull...and WELL worth $50)

I had to buy a serial to USB adaptor, that's what you see to the right of the box. It came with version 5. You have to email them to get the newest version.

So far I am happy with it, I haven't gotten to mess around with it much just yet. I will go out tonight and mess with it more and maybe get some donut vids for SportVortech

The "problem" I had was with the fuel line I bought from a hardware store to put my B&M tranny cooler on. It had a slit in it that sprayed trans fluid EVERYWHERE....luckily the slit was close to where it plugged in...just cut that part off and put it back on....then filled the tranny with fluid...oh man...it was so empty..had I not pulled over when I did...I think I'd be getting a built tranny
btw, thanks to Blownchevy for coming to the rescue with some tools, etc...

BlownChevy can do no wrong! He's been good to all of us. Have you been able to get your truck to hook at all with the new converter??? I just put in my Yank TT3000 and it is ***-sideways when leavin' from a dead stop. I got major traction issues I need to address! Cool videos you put up in the lounge!
