I've heard they're good for .1 - .15 drop. Do you have a 5.3 or 4.8?

I went to Coleman Autoplex in Gatesville today to get a new harmonic balancer bolt and the guy at the desk said I didn't need a new one. He said they reuse them all the time. I told him I was concerned about the threads since they had 250 lb/ft of torque on them, he said the bolt is so much bigger than the old ones that it doesn't matter. Then he called in one of the techs and he said the same thing. They have never had to use a new bolt on a 4.8/5.3. He looked at the threads and said they were ok. I guess I will just reuse it. I hope they are right. If my pulley flies off one day when I'm racing and puts a hole in my hood I am going to be pissed. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
