Hey Hit Man X! A 15/16" socket will work also, I don't have an impact wrench, may go to work today and use the one we have there to install mine.
Jim
Really!? Sweet! Jim! I can get the stock pulley off with no problem, but when it comes to putting that tiny one on, the socket is too large to fit in the hole to tighten down that nut...the one that I have that fits is 22mm and too small! I pretty much have decided to take the alternator off, take it to Sears, bring the tiny pulley, and find exactly what I am looking for.

Are 3/8" impacts narrower than 1/2" impacts?

Thanks!
Eric
I got it off with a 1/2 drive 15/16" impact socket but the overdrive pulley is to small for an impact socket, I used a normal 1/2 drive 15/16" socket to put it on.

Ah so you just tightened it the best you could? Think it will pose any problems not being impacted on?

I impacted it on but used a normal 15/16" socket instead of an impact socket, the impact socket is to fat to fit into the smaller pulley.

The larger one is the underdrive alternator pulley, it adds maybe 2-3hp but causes charging problems at idle. The underdrive alt pulley is the larger one that comes in all sets.
