Default ASM Header Collector Gasket Size??

Need to see what size collector gasket I need to buy for my AS&M Headers. Are they 2 1/2 in. or 3 in. collector Gaskets?? And what would be the best to buy paper gaskets or Soft Alum gaskets?? My gaskets that came with the headers got thrown away before I could check them out.

Thanks

I am pretty sure they are 2 1/2 collectors. I had good luck with the soft alum gaskets with a think layer of high temp RTV.

If you making your own Y-pipe, what i did was weld 2 collector rings together to make 1 thick *** collector ring, that way you can really tighten up and not have to worry about warping it.

Yea, that dual collector trick that you did was a good idea I agree too, go with the soft alum gaskets and a nice coat of the copper hi temp RTV (it comes out of the tube looking orange)

I blew out the paper gaskets and melted the aluminum ones back when I had ASM's. The only ones that I got to last were copper. Since you're supercharged I definitely wouldn't waste time with the aluminum ones, I can almost guarantee that you'll melt them.

Get the 2 1/2" copper gaskets.
