Default Arizona headers - updates

Two weeks ago, I posted up my efforts to open up a set of ASM headers from the default 2.5" collector to a full 3" collector:

Here are some in progress shots. Full 3" ball and socket connection used instead of the typical 3 bolt flange. No more leaking gaskets or lost bolts. All mandrel 3" exhaust tubing. The headers mated up perfectly. I think the ASM headers are way better now than the way they came in stock form. This is one slick exhaust.

Nice work! Too bad they don't come like that. I would prefer 3inch collectors too but AS&M said they would have to 'do a run' and make 20 sets in order to do so.

what kind of material is that? steel with ceramic coating?

At this point, its just a ceramic paint over steel tubing. It looks pretty good considering it came out of a rattle can. Once its done, all the welds will be ground and polished and its all going to get ceramic coated.
