You are going to get a different answer from everyone you ask. The best bet is to find someone who has exhaust you like and ask them what it is. You can check youtube and see if that helps.

First of all, thank you for your service to your country! You should try the headers with the stock exhaust. You might like it. I have that exact setup and love it. It is quiet on the road and loud as hell when you get on it. It goes from mild to wild in a heartbeat. The stock exhaust on these trucks flows just fine, so you aren't gaining anything but sound. I don't know what truck you have, but mine has a 3 1/2" exhaust from the "Y" pipe back to the muffler and 3" out the back. Good luck with your choice.

In the future, you need to tell us what kind of truck you have. We need details, even if its stock.

The above post only applies if you have the 6.2L engine. Then you have a good flowing 3.5" exhaust....

If you have 4.8/5.3, then you have 2.75" in/out. That muffler doesn't flow near as well, but I like it because it's quiet.

Someone else will have to chime in on the 6.0 exhaust. There are a few variations...

Before even picking out a muffler, have you determined what caused your cat failure? I would be researching that before a new muffler. It'll just happen again on your new cat.

which headers from ARH are you guys buying for your 99-06/07 classic trucks? I don't see any GM truck headers on their website except ones for the NNBS trucks.
