Default Anyone tow a lot with electric fans?

the most i pull is 8500 lbs maybe 7 times a year, but half the time it is to the colorado river and there is a long grade in the trip.

just wanted to know if they can hold up to a 6.0 towing...

someone correct me if I am wrong, but GM never put the electric fans on the heavy duty trucks. If that indeed is correct, that should tell you something about the cooling capacity of the clutch fan vs. electric fans.

I am a huge fan of electric fans, buuuut I would leave the clutch fan on that kind of rig.

my 6.0 RCSB running A/C in about 100* weather sitting in traffic I say about 240 on my temp gauge. Enough to make me worried but talking with my dad its not a real scary thing since it didnt break 240 and cooled down as soon as I started moving. Thats with perma-cool fans. Im not too worried about it, but I also dont see any towing so I would maybe give it a shot? Not a real far trip but just test the waters

I believe there are a few members with 05+ Escalades and Denali's towing about 8000 lb, hopefully they will chime in.

after you reach 35-40 mph the fans have nothing to do with it.Have you pulled that grade before with that weight?

Ive never had a problem with mine overheating and i tow a good bit.
i always have my V2 hooked up so i keep an eye on all my gauges.

But i live in MS, we dont have any long tall grades. but ive towed 30mph in 105* heat and it never went over 198* coolant and 190* Trans temp.

my efans started overheating pretty bad last nigh when idling. i think i'll be putting the clutch fan back on cuz i know it would never let the truck get that hot.
