Im not too worried about it, but I also dont see any towing so I would maybe give it a shot? Not a real far trip but just test the waters

you need new efans, defiintely should not get to 240.

I have the ls1/lt1fans on a 34" radiator and the 6.0 which was HIGHLY warned against..bullshit. if you have the fans set up right, my rig NEVER gets over 210 EVER. not with the 6.0 not with awful stop and go traffic 100+ degrees in tyler, tx and college station tx, and not with pulling a load.

my 28" lt1 fans both running on high, moves as much as 30% more air than my fan clutch. period. The reason gm doesnt use electric fans on hd trucks is nothing to do with cooling capabilities, it has to do with cost, and no space requirement. They have all the space in the world (why cars and small suv's use them) and a fan clutch is quite a bit cheaper for gm to use them.

You also realize the clutch fan spins slower at idle right? The e-fans move a ton more air than the clutch does.

I think Im going to replace my thermostat before I think my fans are bad. They run on high all the time and its switch controlled in the cab. My thermostat has just under 94k on it I just think it may be time for a new one. My truck will only get that hot when sitting in traffic for awhile with the A/C on 3. Im not too worried. DLT, you have a problem, hope you figure it out
