I'm running a few as well. Easier just to make them yourself.

Tracks require it at a certain speed, also DS have been known to part and when they do they can become dangerous for spectators, driver and other machinery. There's a few carnage threads on here of people who've broken their driveshafts at the track and dyno or just on the street. The Aluminum DS are not rated for much above 110mph or something.

Keep the driveshaft from possibly creating more damage if it fails. Cheap insurance...

I would like to, I don't ever (well maybe once a year) take it much into triple digits, but on the dyno it will hit 138mph. Ever since I saw 1SlowHoe's dyno video of his Tahoe dropping the DS, I have wanted to get one, or get my stock DS balanced.

Here's a good read about driveshafts: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...earned-241042/

LOL I know the rest of the underside is not bad at all, the DS is funky.. But hey that is good, it has been weathered, naturally strengthened by mother nature
