Default Anyone running a cam with their SC setup?

I have heard of Whipple twin screws hunting a little bit for idle on startup even with a stock camshaft, but it is worse with a larger cam. I have tuned most of the bugs out and it only hunts about 300rpm twice before it finds idle now. It is like it cannot pull enough air past the SC rotors? Here are my questions if you have a cam and SC:
1) What are the specs of your cam?
2) What Super Charger are you running?
3) How big is your engine?
4) Do you have the same idle on startup troubles as described?
5) Have you tuned it/with what being changed to help that situation?
6) Are you now annoyed with my so many questions?
Thanks guys. Ryan

I have a 6 liter that has a LS6 cam with a Whipple but it ain't running yet so I can't answer your questions but with my luck it will idle like a top fuel dragster (I want a 100%smooth idle) It should be running in a day or 2 so I will update you at that time

My truck hunts for the idle a little, sometimes. If I rev it in park it will fall back down to around 450 and come back up to idle. The worst it's ever done is about 300. I think it is for a lack of timing at idle though. Useing EFILive, I told it to take 17* at idle, no matter how much air is going through, and it idled fine, didn't stumble off idle like it usually does and it didn't hunt for it either. I haven't reflashed yet, so I don't know for sure how it will work.

I frogot to mention I plan on going with a little larger came eventually. I was going to try and line it up for this summer, but I dunno if I will make that with my recent tranny problems.

I am going to try a 214/222 .559"/.566" 115 +4 on a 6.0L w/ a whipple. Cam, springs, retainers, rockers, pushrods, double-roller adj chain, block and heads are all on the way. Breakdown, build-up and swap is my summer project. Worrying about the tranny.

I had no idle issues at all with my whipple and 01 LS6 cam.

OK-my dog is running again. I finished it up last night and I drove it about 1 mile so I don't have a lot of info yet, but the idle is now lower than it was and if I "tap the throttle while it is idling and in gear it will die 3 out of 4 times. Didn't have a "hunting" idle though. I should have time to put some miles on it today so we'll see how it does,

So far it is idling OK. I guess it took the pcm a little while to adjust. Initial impressions are that it lost a little power right off the line which is cool with me 'cause I had traction problems anyway and I don't know if it gained any up top because I haven't raised the limiter and shift points yet. Will be going to the track Thurs if it don't rain.

Hey Jeff ya I need to see how some things hook up on the F-bodies. I'll give you a call. The stuff I'm doing is on the downlow until it is completed and tested. You could have just called :p
