Default Anyone installed Calspeed 1 7/8" headers on a 2WD with out the heat/hammer mod?

I'm helping a friend install this on his 04 Silverado 2WD, the first time passanger side was hitting the frame and won't allow the header bolt to the head so we he called Calspeed and they said it was the motor mounts,we changed the motor mounts with new ones and still the same. Now calspeed says that the crossmember has to be removed to be able to put the header in ,we tried that and it didn't work. He also said he has sold 150 set of headers and we are the only ones that are having problems with these, I would like to know if anyone has installed these with no problems on a 2WD or are these headers just POS?

This is the pasanger side

And the driver's side

Yah, its the motor mounts WTF. They know damn well they have these issues, thats just strait making you spend un needed money. So now its the cross member that is causing this? After that doesn't fit they prob gona tell ya your cross member is bent. unreal

That looks aweful, usually you can correct by shifting the motor to one side or the other a bit, but there's no room on either side. Since they say they fit all 2wd applications, I think you should be able to get some sort of refund.

Just more reason NOT to by calspeed made in Taiwan headers. Next excuse will be that GM made the frame wrong.
