I was thinking about mounting a smaller cooler under the stock one which I could have on a seperate pump and reservoir for use at the track. Not enough space to do it without impeding air flow. Your "spacer" idea might just work, but it would be expensive.

There's probably some CNC types here.....I hope.
you could always use wood
The other issue would what effect the added depth would have on air flow, probably minimal.

Awhh, isn't that little thing cute

BigTex, I wish I got to this sooner. There are a ton of disassembled pictures of the Radix here:http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tec...ger/index.html

...but then you wouldn't have been able to take measurements for fitment of a larger intercooler.

I had seen similar pics from Chevy High performance I think. I wanted measurements and to see exactly how it was layed out. The Popular HR site has better info. Thanks for the link.

This mod from the PHR site has some promise for fitting a bigger cooler:

Have you thought about just some n2o instead of a bigger heat exchanger. Something like the lightings run. With the n2o and extra fuel beening shot right over the tops of the intake ports.

Naked, if you have the PCV hooked up in the right spot ... on the back of the intake tube, you wouldn't need that check valve. The intake tube never sees any boost.

I'm taking it easy on it. I've spent the afternoon cleaning out the EGR and PCV residue from the cooler and base plate. Just a little TLC before it gets installed.

Thanks for the link Ryan. That IC is more like what I want.
