Default Anyone disassemble their RADIX yet?

Just curious if anyone has pulled apart the intercooler from the base of the unit? I've been wondering if its upgradable. With high boost and high compressor rpms, I'd expect the temps to really be high.

Anyone? Its something I may have to try unless someone knows for sure there is no gain to be had from it.

I don't think you would get anywhere ... but I'm sure I could be proved wrong.

I think you have to have a special tool to get the nose piece back on if you take it off.

I don't want to take apart the compressor. I want to see if I can improve the intercooler. I'm talking about taking off the bottom, opening it up, and seeing if it can be made better.

The Lightning intercooler is huge, right? (compared to the Radix) It goes across the entire base, right?

I know the inside of the L manifold is pretty different with the entrances to the ports being down in the valley, but I'd imagine there's always room for improvement.

I've seen some pics and it looks like it can be done, I would have to take a hard look to see various things, i.e. manner in which it is attached, coolant inlet/outlet points, top/bottom clearance.....

anyway, fix that up for us Big Tex

Done. With the disassembly at least. I took a bunch of pics. I'll post some after I sort through them and find the ones with the best views. One quick note for radix users, run a PCV catch can or at least a boost check valve. There is a good coating of oil on all the internal parts.
